Demolition Delay Bylaw
The Montague Historical Commission is proposing that the Town adopt a general bylaw pertaining to the delay of the issuance of demolition permits for Historically Significant Buildings in Montague for a period of up to 12 months. The purpose of the bylaw is to protect the integrity of historic resources within the town. A public hearing on the proposed bylaw will occur on Thursday March 31 at 11:00AM. The meeting will be held at Montague Town Hall Second Floor Conference Room One Avenue A Turners Falls with a remote participation option. The draft bylaw and meeting login information at https://www.montague-ma.gov/calendar. All interested parties will be allowed to speak. Written comments can be sent to csl@mit.edu prior to the hearing.
