The Montague Clean Water Facility (CWF) seeks to promote the conservation of local wildlife supported along the Connecticut River by effectively treating the wastewater stream to national pollution discharge elimination standards. The facility also seeks to promote public health through treatment, reducing pathogens and nutrient loadings, which in turn help to protect the recreational use of the river.
