Unity Park Field House Roof Replacement
56 First St, Turners Falls MA
The Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) will accept sealed bids on behalf of the
Town of Montague for Roof Replacement at the Unity Park Field House located at 56 First Street,
Turners Falls, MA. The bid is per MGL Ch149.
Sealed Bids should be marked “Unity Park Roof Replacement IFB 20200302” and will be
received by the FRCOG until March 2, 2020 at 2pm. Emailed or faxed bids will not be accepted. Mailed
or delivered bids should be delivered to FRCOG, 12 Olive Street, Suite 2, Greenfield, MA 01301 Attn:
Andrea Woods. Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. If the FRCOG office is closed for
any reason, bids will be opened the following day at the same time.
Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond/deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the
form of a certified check, bank treasurer's or cashier's check, or a bid bond from a licensed surety
company. Bonds should be payable to Town of Montague.
A pre-bid briefing/walk through will be held on site on February 11, 2020 at 9 a.m. meeting at
the Unity Park Field House, 56 First Street in Turners Falls. Snow date is February 13, 2020 at 9am.
Registered planholders will be notified of the use of snow date by 5pm the day before. This briefing is
highly encouraged, but not mandatory.
Wage rates for the construction work portion of this bid are subject to prevailing wage rates as
per MGL Chapter 149, Section 26 - 27f inclusive and are included in the bid package.
Bid specifications must be downloaded from https://frcog.org/bids, and in doing so, all
notifications and addenda will be forwarded.
The awarding authority is the Town of Montague Selectboard who reserve the right to accept or
reject any or all bids in total or in part as they may deem to be in the best public interest.
