Montague Community Wood Bank: Firewood Available

The Montague Community Wood Bank still has 6.5 cords of dry firewood available for residents in need of heating assistance. Wood will be distributed in 1/2 cord allotments with the potential to receive additional wood as need and supplies allow.

Interested parties should contact the Gill-Montague Council on Aging at coa@montague-ma.gov or 413.863.9357.

The Town of Montague recycles town tree removals into firewood with the help of the Tree Advisory Committee. Volunteers are always welcome to come help split and stack firewood. Interested volunteers should contact the David Detmold, Chair of the Montague Tree Advisory Committee at 413- 863-9296.
