MassDOT anticipates a full reopening of the General Pierce Bridge by the end of March 2023.
The General Pierce Bridge is now open for alternating one-way traffic. Work on the bridge still continues, including installation of pedestrian lighting along the bridge sidewalk, painting, and removal of the below-deck scaffolding system. MassDOT anticipates to have all work completed with a full bridge reopening by the end of March 2023.
