Montague recognized by Mass Housing Partnership for townwide efforts to support diverse, affordable housing options
On June 15 the Town of Montague recieved a Housing Hero Award from the Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP). The award was accepted on behalf of the town by Assistant Town Administrator Walter Ramsey and Town Planner Maureen Pollock at MHP's annual conference in Devens, MA. Montague was joined by the City of Worcester and the Cape Cod Community Development Partnership in receiving this award. Montague was recognized for efforts toward planning for and implementing housing diversity. MHP recognized the town's zoning and redevelopment efforts, sustained support for the Housing Rehabilitation Program, and strategic collaborations with FRCOG, Franklin County Housing and Redevelopment Authority, CHAPA, and Mass Housing Partnership. Montague is fortunate to have great collaborating partners and support from residents in the pursuit of adequate, available, and affordable housing for all.
