Montague Awarded $340,000 PARC Grant for Montague Center Improvements

MONTAGUE, Mass. (12/19/2023) - The Town of Montague was awarded a $340,000 Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities (PARC) grant to make improvements to the Montague Center Park, located at the corner of School and Station Street.

The project includes design and construction of a new playground, parking lot, pollinator and rain gardens, and planting trees.

Montague’s Parks & Recreation Director Jon Dobosz said, “We are thrilled that once again the Town of Montague has been awarded funding from the PARC Grant, that will support a critical infrastructure project at Montague Center Park. We would like to thank the efforts of the Montague Center Park Project Planning Committee and Parks & Recreation Commission for their guidance and leadership to obtain the grant, and we look forward to delivering another quality facility project to the residents of Montague. The PARC Grant also helped fund the development of the Unity Skate Park in 2016. We look forward to starting the design process in early spring 2024.”
