Regional Downtown District Pilot Project - Resident Meeting

6:00PM on Tuesday, June 17 in Town Hall Annex and via Zoom. All are welcome!

The Town of Montague in partnership with the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Franklin Regional Council of Government, and a working group made up of downtown Turners Falls businesses, owners and other stakeholders are initiating a Regional Downtown District Pilot to test a sustainable shared services model that would create a Downtown District Coordinator in Turners Falls, Shelburne Falls and Northfield to help address priority programs that would benefit the downtown. We believe that it is imperative for property owners, institutional partners, nonprofits, and commercial tenants to collaborate effectively to enable each district to achieve its full economic and social potential. We know to successfully compete, we must create districts that are attractive to visitors, business, residents, and investors, a feel this pilot program offers an opportunity for success. We believe in this vision, and we need you to be involved in bringing it to fruition.

Over the next several weeks, focus group meetings will be held with property owners, businesses, nonprofits, and other stakeholders to gather ideas and suggestions on the types of priority programs and services that could enhance the value of properties, tenants, or businesses. We want to improve the experience for you, tenants, customers, and visitors and make downtown a special destination.

We invite residents (from all 5 villages!) to join us at 6:00PM on Tuesday, June 17 to share your unique perspective and suggestions. We hope you will consider being a part of a 1 – 1 ½ hour long focus group. We know your time is limited. We appreciate your participation, and value your comments.
