Montague Cultural Council Seeks Proposals for FY26 Grant Cycle!
Applications accepted from September 2 - October 16, 2025
The Montague Cultural Council is once again opening its doors to creativity! Starting September 2, 2025, we’ll be accepting proposals for local arts, humanities, and science programs that bring inspiration, learning, and joy to our community. The application deadline is October 16, 2025—so mark your calendars!
These grants are open to organizations, schools, and individual artists with ideas that make Montague shine. Past funding has supported everything from festivals and concerts to school performances, artist residencies, exhibits, workshops, and lectures. If your project sparks imagination or brings people together, we want to hear about it.
The Montague Cultural Council is part of a statewide network of 329 Local Cultural Councils, serving all 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts. Collectively, this is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation—backed by an annual state appropriation to the Mass Cultural Council, which then flows directly into our communities.
This year, Montague will award approximately $21,000 in grants, supported by both the Massachusetts Cultural Council and local matching funds. Recently funded projects include the 10th Annual Pocumtuck Homelands Festival, Musica Franklin’s Community Concert Series, the 2024 Shakespeare Series, and Mother Tongue by First Generation.
