Town of Montague Invites Public to Shape Hill Neighborhood Green Infrastructure Master Plan

The Town of Montague recently launched the Hill Neighborhood Green Infrastructure Master Plan, an initiative aimed at evaluating and addressing slope stabilization challenges within the Hill Neighborhood. Funded through a Massachusetts Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA), the project will identify strategies to improve resilience, reduce erosion risks, and enhance neighborhood open spaces through green infrastructure solutions.

Community input is a vital part of the planning process. Residents, property owners, and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the upcoming two-day community design workshop, where attendees can learn more about the project, share local knowledge, and help shape potential design solutions.

Workshop Details:

Dates:

Monday, April 13 from 4:30 - 6:00 PM

Thursday, April 16 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Location:

Shea Theater Arts Center, 71 Avenue A, Turners Falls, MA 01376

Both sessions will provide opportunities for participants to review preliminary ideas, engage directly with the Fuss & O’Neill project team, and contribute feedback that will inform the master plan.
