Great Falls Farmers Market Opening Day is this Saturday, May 2nd from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Peskeompskut Park

SNAP and HIP Accepted

The Great Falls Farmers Market is returning to Peskeompskut Park, located at the corner of Avenue A and 7th Street, Turners Falls, this Saturday (May 2nd) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The farmers market is kicking off the season with a growing lineup of vendors bringing everything from meat to crafts to veggie starts.

On May 2nd, the farmers market is also excited to welcome special guests from the Western Massachusetts Gardener Association, who will join the market at 10 AM with soil testing & gardening advice (click HERE for flyer.) At the manager’s table, starting at 9, Max, a horticulture student, will be facilitating a free drop-in all-ages planting activity with seeds, planting pots to decorate (or not), and more.

The Great Falls Farmers Market itself is a SNAP and Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) vendor. This means that every eligible item (including vegetable starts) at the farmers market can be purchased with SNAP and HIP. HIP, which provides $20/$40/$80 depending on household size, can only be used at eligible farm stands and farmers markets.

Throughout the season, the Great Falls Farmers Market Facebook and Instagram will be the place for updates with the week's vendor lineup being posted on Thursdays. Feel free to share any of the attached flyers or information widely. The Great Falls Farmers Market have a lot of new vendors who we hope to have a great season. Please browse and shop. All are welcome.
