SNAP Information

On November 1, 2025, new SNAP requirements and eligibility changes adopted under the Federal HR.1 law go into effect. You can find more information on mass.gov/SNAPupdates. People facing immediate need can access resources through Project Bread FoodSource hotline at (800)645-8333 and local food pantries. Department of Transitional Assistance offices remain open to provide services.

Other important information to know:

1. You do not need to spend all of your SNAP benefits prior to November 1 when the funds will stop being sent to your account. Whatever funds you have left in your SNAP balance will remain there for you to use.

2. Keeping $1 in your SNAP account will allow you to access the Healthy Initiative Program (HIP) at any Farmer's Market or Farm Stand. HIP provides access to fruits and vegetables.
