If the Assessors deny my application for abatement, do I have any recourse?

Yes, you may appeal the Assessors’ decision in writing and be granted a hearing before the board.  Also, you may appeal the decision with the Appellate Tax Board (ATB) within 3 months of the date the assessors acted on your application, or the date your application was deemed denied, whichever is applicable.
