If the Assessors deny my application for abatement, do I have any recourse?

Yes, you may appeal the Assessors’ decision in writing and be granted a hearing before the board.  Also, you may appeal the decision with the Appellate Tax Board (ATB) within 3 months of the date the assessors acted on your application, or the date your application was deemed denied, whichever is applicable.

Call or write to the ATB or access the ATB xwebsite.
