HOW IS MY SEWER BILL CALCULATED

The sewer bill is calculated by using water readings from the water districts and multiplying the number of gallons times the sewer rate set for the Fiscal Year.  The previous winter reading is used for both the first and second half calculation unless an error is found or a justifiable abatement request is deemed relevant.  The usage of the winter reading should eliminate the watering of lawns, filling of swimming pools and other uses (such as washing a car) which do not go into the sewer.
